The Santa Clarita Youth Sports Association is a Non-Profit 501 (C) 3 organization dedicated to providing a positive sports experience for children and families in the Santa Clarita Valley.
SCYSA member organizations are unified in their desire to instill key values of sportsmanship, character and family in the pursuit of excellence on and off the field of play.
The SCYSA and it's affiliates offer youth sports participation in Tackle Football, Cheer, Lacrosse, Rugby, Track & Field and Golf.

SCYSA Recognized for Sportsmanship
The Santa Clarita Youth Sports Association was awarded the inaugural David Sumner Sportsmanship Award by the Gold Coast Youth Football League for the 2009 season. Registration for new Players and Cheerleaders interested in the Wildcats, Grizzlies or Spartans be will be held Saturday, March 13 at Velocity SP from 9-12P.

Each Chapter has an assigned territory by HS District. Please check the School Designation Chart to determine which Chapter your child is eligible to enroll.
Fees for 2010:
Football: $275 ($200 for 2+ Children)
Cheer: $150 ($100 for 2+ Children, Uniform Separate)
Volunteer/Equipment Deposit: $50 (1x per family)
Donation: $100 ($75 2nd Child, $50 for 3+)
Football Camp: $50 (Participation is mandatory)
Cheer Camp: Cost TBA (Fees will be collected separately)

Wildcat Lax
Wildcats inaugural lacrosse team is now fully stocked with talented 7/8 grade players from throughout the SCV. We have been fortunate to secure coaching assistance by Bill Adams and Tony Moskal, who will be a great asset to the team led by Coach JT.
Most of the players are new to the sport while there are a half dozen boys who have experience with the game. A Jamboree will be held on Feb 20th which give the team their first test with competive lacrosse.

Velocity Football Academy
All SCYSA football players are invited and encouraged to particiapte in this off-season training program. NFL Veteran Bucky Brooks along with some of the Santa Clarita Valley’s top High School Football Coaches, as well as college and former NFL players, will be coaching skills and technique in small group settings. You don’t want to miss out!

SCYSA Recognized for Achievements
The SCYSA was recognized with several awards by SCV Gridiron. J2 Wildcats Navy were chosen Team of the Year. The squad also earned the honor in 2008 as J1 Navy.
J2 Navy Wildcat Coaches Deron White and Jack McKeon were named Coaches of the Year. Coaches receiving Honorable Mention included: Chris Barkley - SC Wildcats Bantam Navy, Dan Gutierrez - SC Wildcats J1 Navy, Marty Chance - SC Wildcats J2 Gold and James McGoldrick - SC Wildcats Senior.
The SC Wildcats earned Program of the Year with the best winning percentage among the six youth programs in the SCV.

Wildcats Selected to US Army All-American Youth Bowl
Brady White and Trenton Irwin have been chosen to represent the West in the 2nd Annual US Army All-American Youth Bowl on January 10th at the Alamo Dome in San Antonio, TX.
Brady and Trent helped lead the J2 Navy Wildcats to the GCYFL Super Bowl Championship this year. The US Army All-American Youth Bowl brings together the top 7th and 8th grade tackle football players from around the nation in a East vs West format. Only 50 players for each age group are chosen to play.
2010 Season Football and Cheer
New participants interested in Football and/or Cheer for the 2010 season are invited to complete the SCYSA Interest List. Registration for Wildcats, Grizzlies and Spartans will take place in March. Please visit the website for updates and more information. Returning players do not need to submit the form.

SCYSA Chapter Boundaries
The SCYSA has determined boundary guidelines for each of its’ Chapters. Families should register for the Chapter based on the high school district or area they reside in.
Wildcats: West Ranch, Hart, Valencia and Castaic
Grizzlies: Golden Valley, Canyon and Valencia
Spartans: Saugus and Valencia

Refund Policy
Player/Cheer refunds are available until May 1st, 2010. Refund requests after this date must be made in writing to the SCYSA Board.
No Dogs Allowed
Please remember that there are no dogs/pets permitted at any SCYSA events or fields. This includes all practice areas and fields (West Ranch HS, Golden Valley HS, Saugus HS, Rancho Pico JHS, COC)
