WE ARE SPARTA

The Saugus Spartans are the newest member of the Santa Clarita Youth Sports Association and will begin participating in tackle football in the summer of 2009. 

The Spartans will participate in the Gold Coast Youth Football League and practice and play games at Saugus High School.

You can feel the excitement the time has come for the Spartans to take the field !

The Spartans will debute at three separate fields

9/12: Opening Day @ COC:  Bantam and J1 Silver

9/12: Opening Day @ Saugus: Mighty Mites and J2

9/12: Opening Day J1 Navy will be in Simi

Area Served

The Saugus Spartans will serve families residing in the Saugus community within the Saugus HS District as well as parts of the Valencia HS District.  Residents within the Canyon and Golden Valley HS Districts are eligible to play for the SC Grizzlies. 

Saugus Youth Camp

All Spartan players are invited to attend the Saugus Youth Camp from June 29-30.  Spartan players will receive a discounted rate.  Saugus Youth Camp

Spartans to Field Five Teams in Inaugural Season

Interest in the new Saugus Spartan Chapter has been so great, the SCYSA has agreed to add another J1 level team.  This brings the total to five teams that will take the field in 2009.  Signups are Saturday, March 7th at Velocity from 12-4. 

Spartan Cheer

There has been some interest expressed in cheering for the Spartans.  Anyone with a child who interested in participating should contact Wendy Weible (wendy.weible@hotmail.com).
